NX533

              SPACEWALKER II

$75,000

Behold the Spacewalker II (NX533)—a real gem that blends old-school aviation vibes with solid modern touches. This aircraft is certified in the Experimental Amateur-Built category. It has a tough TIG-welded steel tubing fuselage and tail, all powder-coated gray, matched with wood wings wrapped in Poly-Fiber from 2020. The fuselage has been fitted with numerous removable aluminum panels for ease of access during maintenance and inspection. It's always been hangared, so it looks sharp. The wingspan is 26-feet. The main landing gear has been expanded by 9-inches to give it room for a potential radial engine swap down the line, if desired. The engine is a TCM O-200A 100HP engine with low hours (97 since overhaul - 197 hours total time since factory new). It cruises at 98 MPH on 75% power, burning about 6 gallons an hour from 24 gallons total. WWII flair makes it stand out: T-6 sliding canopies with new plexiglass from 2021, a Browning machine gun barrel up front, a T-6 gun sight, Hurricane gear lights, and a Spitfire starter button. It's got that military edge without being over the top.

Ready for fun flights, it's loaded with Garmin GTR 200 radio and intercom, a 327 transponder, uAvionics ADS-B with strobes, and a 406MHz ELT. Dual controls in both seats, but you solo from the rear with toe brakes and a P-51D stick grip. Safety stuff includes rollover protection, a locking baggage spot, handholds on the wingtips, tie-downs, and even an optional parachute instead of the rear cushion. Weighs 1091 empty, 1500 gross, with +3.8/-1.5 G limits, maybe no loops, but still plenty of thrill. It got a shoutout in the November 2022 EAA Sport Aviation mag, and comes with all the drawings, manuals, jigs, and info binders to keep it going.
